Saving Deposit

Product Name

The saving deposit account can handle cash deposit and withdrawal at any time. Transfer, exchange, inward and outward remittance for personal and company business purposes.

Applicable Customer

  • Vietnamese citizens.
  • Foreign individuals permitted to reside in Vietnam for at least 6 months.
  • Organizations established or none established in Vietnam.

Apply Document

  1. Individual Customer
    • Vietnamese citizens: valid documents such as Vietnamese national ID cards
    • Foreign individuals: original passports, visa and other valid documents. Foreign individuals must present a valid passport and visa-free documents (for visa-free entry); present a valid passport and valid visa (for entry and exit visas)
    • Personal account opening application (provided by the bank)
       
  2. Corporate Customer
    • Non-personal account opening application (provided by the bank)
    • Relevant valid documents

Process

  1. Individual Customer
    Step 1: Individual customers go to the Banking department of Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited Ho Chi Minh City Branch to fill in the account opening application and submit relevant required documents. 
    Step 2: Bank of China will open a demand deposit account for the customer after reviewing the customer’s relevant documents.

  2. Corporate Customer
    Step 1: The person in charge of the company must fill in a series of forms related to account opening in the Banking Department of Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited Ho Chi Minh City Branch, and go through the account opening procedures
    Step 2: The Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited Ho Chi Minh City Branch will open a current account after reviewing the forms and documents submitted by the customer and confirming that they meet the relevant requirements.

Notes

  1. Individual Customer
    • The client must go to the Bank counter to apply account opening service in person. For persons who have lost their capacity for civil conduct, or persons with limited capacity for civil conduct, they can open an account on behalf of their guardian or legal representative. When opening an account on behalf of a guardian or legal representative, please present an ID card/Passport/The qualification certificate of the guardian or legal representative with relevant legal documents.
    • Authorization to handle bank account business: After opening an account, the customer can authorize another person to handle the account business. Both parties must bring their personal IDs to the Bank counter, fill out and sign the authorization letter in persons at the bank. The authorization scope is stated on the authorization letter. The authorized person shall bring his personal ID when handling business on behalf of account holder in the future.
    • Customer who withdraws cash equivalents or more than US$10,000 must make an appointment one working day in advance (you can make an appointment by phone);
    • No account management fee.
