The standby L/C is a guarantee. However, it is mainly issued to an applicant for a L/C in order to: (i) secure payment to your customer in the goods transaction. If you have not paid on the maturity date, your customer will ask for payment from our bank or (ii) issue to ensure another bank to grant a credit line to your customer based on our bank’s SBLC commitment.
